Abstract
Tapınak mı düşünceyi inşa etti, yoksa düşünce mi tapınağı? Bu temel sorular, Göbeklitepe’nin oluşum sürecinde düşüncenin rolünü sorgulamayı gerektirmektedir. Düşünce, felsefenin ve tüm bilimlerin temelini oluşturan en önemli insani yetidir ve insanı diğer canlılardan ayıran en önemli özelliktir. İnsan, bu özellik sayesinde doğayı anlamaya çalışmış, olayları yorumlamış ve pek çok soruya yanıt aramıştır. İnsanlık tarihinin en erken dönemlerinde bile düşüncenin çok daha kritik bir anlam taşıdığı bilinmektedir. Son zamanlarda yapılan kazı çalışmaları sonucunda Göbeklitepe’de bir düşünce sisteminin varlığından söz edebilmek oldukça değerli ve insanlık tarihinin düşünsel gelişimini anlamak açısından çok önemlidir. Felsefenin bir düşünce geleneği olarak görülmesi nedeniyle antik Yunan geleneğinin oluşumundan önce de bir felsefeden söz etmek mümkün olmaktadır. Bu çalışma, gelenek öncesi bir düşüncenin izlerini ortaya koyan Göbeklitepe Antik Kenti bağlamında o dönemde felsefi düşüncenin varlığını ortaya çıkartmayı amaçlamaktadır. Çalışmanın temel amacı Göbeklitepe’de ortaya çıkarılan kült yapılar ve semboller üzerinden felsefi bir düşünce geleneğinin izlerini araştırmak ve düşüncenin ritüel ya da tapınak aracılığıyla somutlaşıp nasıl inşa edildiğini ve böylelikle insanın semboller aracılığıyla anlam üretmeye başladığını göstermektir. Çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Göbeklitepe Antik Kenti’nde arkeolojik ve sembolik veriler felsefi bir yorumlama çerçevesinde ele alınmıştır.

Abstract
Did the temple shape thought, or did thought shape the temple? These fundamental questions prompt us to question the role of thought in the formation of Göbeklitepe. Thought is the most important human faculty, forming the basis of philosophy and all sciences, and is the most important characteristic that distinguishes humans from other living beings. Thanks to this faculty, humans have sought to understand nature, interpreted events, and searched for answers to many questions. Even in the earliest periods of human history, thought appears to have carried a much more critical meaning. Recent excavations have revealed the existence of a system of thought at Göbeklitepe, which is highly valuable and very important for understanding the intellectual development of human history. Since philosophy is seen as a tradition of thought, it is possible to speak of philosophy even before the formation of the ancient Greek tradition. This study aims to reveal the existence of philosophical thought during that period in the context of the Ancient City of Göbeklitepe, which reveals traces of pre-traditional thought. The main objective of the study is to investigate the traces of a philosophical tradition through the cult structures and symbols uncovered at Göbeklitepe and to demonstrate how thought was concretised and constructed through rituals or temples, thereby showing how humans began to produce meaning through symbols. Due to its nature, a qualitative research method was used in the study. Archaeological and symbolic data from the Göbeklitepe Ancient City have been examined within a philosophical framework.
