Abstract
Bu araştırmada, Ağrı Dağı Milli Parkı’nın ekoturizme katkılarının ortaya konulması amaçlanmıştır. Veri toplama sürecinde nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden biri olan mülakat tekniği kullanılmıştır. Gerçekleştirilen görüşmeler kapsamında 10 katılımcıya yöneltilen sorular doğrultusunda, bölgenin ekoturizm açısından uygun bir potansiyele sahip olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulara göre, ekoturizmin bölgede yeterince gelişememesinin başlıca nedenleri arasında geçmişten gelen güvenlik algısı, tanıtım, yatırım ve organizasyon eksikliği ile altyapı ve konaklama yetersizliği yer almaktadır. Ağrı Dağının varlığı, bölgenin turizm potansiyeli açısından önem arz etmektedir. Sürdürülebilir bir ekoturizm anlayışının belirlenmesi için taleplerin değerlendirilmesi, istihdam olanaklarının arttırılması faaliyetlerin planlı biçimde yürütülmesi önemlidir. Yerel halkın sürece aktif olarak dahil edilmesi hem sosyoekonomik kalkınmaya katkı sağlayacak hem de kültürel değerlerin korunmasına destek olacaktır. Literatür taraması ve araştırma bulguları doğrultusunda korunan alan statüsündeki Ağrı Dağı Milli Park’ında ekoturizmin geliştirilmesine yönelik çeşitli öneriler sunulmuştur.

Abstract
This research aims to reveal the contributions of Mount Ararat National Park to ecotourism. The interview technique, a qualitative research method, was used in the data collection process. Based on the questions posed to 10 participants during the interviews, it was concluded that the region has suitable potential for ecotourism. According to the findings, the main reasons for the insufficient development of ecotourism in the region include the perception of insecurity stemming from the past, lack of promotion, investment and organization, and inadequate infrastructure and accommodation. The existence of Mount Ararat is important for the tourism potential of the region. To establish a sustainable ecotourism approach, it is important to evaluate demands, increase employment opportunities, and carry out activities in a planned manner. Actively involving the local population in the process will both contribute to socio-economic development and support the preservation of cultural values. Based on the literature review and research findings, various suggestions are presented for the development of ecotourism in Mount Ararat National Park, which has protected area status.
