Abstract
Bilim, sistematik yöntemler kullanılarak yeni bilgilerin üretilmesine olanak tanır. Bilimin amacı, insan hayatını kolaylaştırmaktır. Bilimsel yöntemler ile ortaya konulan her bilgi, geleceği şekillendirmede önemli bir araçtır. Dolayısı ile bilimsel süreçler kullanılarak elde edilen bilgi Turizm sektörünün de gelişimine önemli katkılar sağlamaktadır. Bilimsel araştırmalar, turizm sektörünün gelişimine ışık tutmanın yanı sıra yeni bir turizm eğiliminin de ortaya çıkmasına vesile olmuştur. Bilime merakı olan bireylerin keşfetme ve seyahat etme arzusu, turizm hareketliliğinin artmasına yol açmıştır. Araştırma merkezleri, müzeler, laboratuvarlar, üniversiteler ve gözlemevleri turistleri cezbeden önemli turizm ürünleri olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Turizm literatürü incelendiğinde bilim turizminin yeni bir kavram olduğu ve bu konudaki araştırmaların oldukça kısıtlı olduğu görülmüştür. Türkiye’de bilim turizmi bir çalışma alanı olarak henüz ele alınmamış olmasına rağmen bu bağlamda ziyaret edilecek noktaların mevcudiyeti dikkat çekmektedir. Bu araştırmada, bilim turizminin kavramsal alt yapısının oluşturulması amacı ile kapsamlı literatür taraması yapılmıştır. Araştırmada bilim turizminin geniş kitlelere hitap eden bir turizm türü olduğu ve gelecekte önemli bir trend olacağı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, Dünya’daki ve Türkiye’deki durum dikkate alınarak bilim turizminin gelişimine katkı sağlayacak öneriler sunulmuştur.

Abstract
Science allows the production of new knowledge using systematic methods. The purpose of science is to make human life easier. Any information revealed through scientific methods is an important tool in shaping the future. Therefore, the information obtained using scientific processes makes significant contributions to the development of the tourism sector. In addition to shedding light on the development of the tourism sector, scientific research has also led to the emergence of a new tourism trend. The desire of individuals who are curious about science to explore and travel has led to an increase in tourism activity. Research centres, museums, laboratories, universities and observatories appear as important tourism products that attract tourists. When the tourism literature is examined, it is seen that science tourism is a new concept and research on this subject is quite limited. Although science tourism has not yet been considered as a field of study in Turkey, the availability of points to be visited in this context attracts attention. In this research, a comprehensive literature review was conducted to establish the conceptual infrastructure of science tourism. The research concluded that science tourism is a type of tourism that appeals to large audiences and will be an important trend in the future. As a result of the research, suggestions that will contribute to the development of science tourism are presented, taking into account the situation in the world and in Turkey.
